It’s almost time to pack up your things and head back to campus. Whether it’s your first time moving in or your last time coming back for Fall semester classes, there’s something we want you to keep in mind. There are a lot of ways to be a successful college student. Studying hard, making friends, growing your professional network, completing an internship in your desired career field, and the list goes on. But there’s one thing that you might not expect to end up on that list that we think you should add.

You may be thinking, “But I’m going to college I’m finally an adult now!” That is true, but part of having a great college experience is also remembering to be a kid sometimes and take a break from the stress of exams and studying. Go play catch with some friends on College Green, cover your froyo from Boyd with rainbow sprinkles and candy or watch a cartoon on Netflix when you need a laugh.
Adora Svitak explains why it’s important to be a kid and to learn from kids. As a kid herself, she’s pretty much an expert on the subject.
