You hear it from the time you are little “you never have a second chance to make a first impression”. Sending a good first impression to friends, relatives, and coworkers is the first step to honing your leadership skills.
At this point in your education and career you probably know professionalism skills and what it takes to be a leader, so I am here to tell you what not to do when executing your leadership skills.
1st Don’t: Show up late
Showing up late is a great way to show your supervisor that you value your time more than there’s.
2nd Don’t: Don’t talk to anyone
Deciding not to speak to anyone will just make everyone in the office think you are weird and antisocial.
3rd Don’t: Give bad body language
Make sure to roll your eyes and give big sighs when you don’t agree with something it will make your co-workers and supervisors avoid you and your negative energy.
4th Don’t: Talk about your success
If you have already accomplished 1,2, and 3 then go ahead and try this tactic of only talking about yourself because people love to listen to someone who only cares about himself.
5th Don’t: Turn in your work late
By turning in your work later you are giving a great example of how unmotivated you are.
If you want to be successful in your job and internship always keep a professional and positive attitude.
