What was the title and location of your summer internship?

Global Sales and Marketing Intern for Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee Wisconsin
My responsibilities were to support the sales team and create marketing materials for the components team consisting of infographics, product profiles, storyboards for videos and creating slides for the sales team.

How did you go about getting this internship?

I worked at their location in Mayfield Heights Ohio the previous year so I reached out to my old supervisor about my desire to intern at their headquarters and it all worked out!

What was your greatest challenge in your internship experience?

The greatest challenge was probably moving to a new city that I was unfamiliar with and adjusting to the corporate culture of the company.

What did you learn/gain from your summer internship experience?

I learned a lot honestly, I would say that I learned how to work in teams better and how to better communicate with others as well. When you work in corporate it is essential that you communicate effectively.

What do you hope to be doing professionally after graduation?

I plan on going to Law School.

Without worrying about how realistic it may be, what is your dream job and why?

My dream job would be to just write all day. I love creative writing and short stories. I can picture myself living in a countryside just writing and staring at the beautiful scenery.

What advice would you give fellow Bobcats seeking internships?

Network or not work! Take the time to build meaningful connections and strategically use those connections to get you where you want to be. Also, don’t limit yourself. Be confident and pursue whatever it is you want to do fearlessly.
